Template pop up in knowledge article

Hi,

When you select any Knowledge Base, a pop up appears to Apply Default Values "Do you want to populate fields with the default values for the selected knowledge base as follows?"

I am setting the default values from the knowledge base to the knowledge article field "ownership group"

Now, i don't want the popup to be displayed and ask for the button to click "cancel" or "ok". The field values needs to be set automatically from the knowledge base to knowledge article without showing the pop display

The pop up is a UI Page, page name: "kb_confirm_defaults"

link to page: /nav_to.do?uri=sys_ui_page.do?sys_id=1fb56b13ff0131003f07ffffffffffdd

How can we achieve this functionality

Thanks in advance😀

@anvitha ash - Did this help you my freind?

I think this helps ....but we do not wanted to have customisation in place. Can't we do it without having customisation

If you want no customization at all, then the answer is unfortunately no.

That popup is out-of-box behavior and there’s no system setting to disable it while still applying KB defaults automatically. Without customization, ServiceNow will always prompt when the Knowledge Base has defaults and the user changes it.

Your only OOB options are:

  • Live with the popup

  • Remove KB defaults

  • Avoid changing the Knowledge Base

Skipping the popup requires customization — even if it’s minimal.

Go to the respective knowledge base and remove the Knowledge field Default values. It will be gone.

That's correct, but we want to set the default values without having the popup to be displayed on the screen

And we don't want to do any customisation
