To check Which Template applied on form

Hi,

Need a field which will populate which template has been applied to a change form..

the only way to capture the data would be to create a field "last template applied", make it read only, and write code to populate it every time the template field changes...<that i know of>   we put the template name as the first part of the short description.. this works well because even if the SD is changed you can look in the history and see what the short description was.

We just created a Template ID field to capture the template ID in a seperate field, hidden from the end user.

This allows you to report on most used templates, underused templates, etc if you use a field as opposed to worknotes.

mguy....how are you pulling the template ID? I can't seem to get anything to populate if the users select a template from the toggle menu as pictured below.....
