Unable to remove Unique constraint from custom field on OOTB table (cmn_location)

Hi everyone,

I have a custom field on the OOTB table cmn_location that was earlier set to Unique = true (FYI, this is currently the only unique field on the Location table).

Now I need to change the field to Unique = false, but I am unable to do so. The unique constraint/index does not allow the change.

What is the supported solution or best practice to remove this uniqueness?

There is no way to uncheck the checkbox of unique .
