Does anybody know how or from where the event ci.change.unplanned is triggered in case any update is done on ci which is an application service without any change related to it ?

Change > Administration > Change Properties - there is an option to turn it on/off.

Hi Michael,
The property you are talking here enables the creation of unauthorized change if the event is triggered, here i am seeking for the fact how this event "ci.change.unplanned" is triggered/raised i.e. through which script this event is invoked

We don't have access to the script/event trigger. That's why you can't find it.

I am looking for this as well. If you have found where this event is triggered, please update.
As a side note, I don't think the property under Change > Administration > Change Properties has anything to do with whether this event fires or not. This property appears to turn on or off the functionality that creates the change after this event is fired.
