Hello,

Actually There are some End users in our organization to whom some approvers are going through service catalog. I have added those users in a particular group. Can you please what roles I have to give to those end users or to the group that they belongs to in order to make then permissible to approve or reject the the RITM or SCtask.

Thanks

Hello Rahul

approve_admin :- [approver_admin ]This will give you priviledge to approve any request. Like we try out things in PDI by System Admin Login.

approver_user :- [approver_user]Only those in which you are the approver.

This two will be the solution for this Only,

Hi Rahul,

1) In order to approve a request, "approver_user" is the role which will be required by default .

2) Else you need to create a new ACL on Approval table so that they can view and approve it.

3) Also to note by default Catalog Task are not exposed to end users and are meant for fulfiller user only, so you need to create another Read and Write ACL on catalog task table which is again not a recommended way of doing . Ideally you should not exposed Catalog Task table to end users.

A normal user with only the approver_user role does not have access to the RITM record itself, out of the box anyway as long as they have no other roles like itil or catalog that is.

On the approval record itself they have access to comments and the ability to approve or reject.

Mark my answer correct & Helpful, if Applicable.

Thanks,

Sandeep

Hi Rahul,

approver_user has pretty much been transitioned in to business_stakeholder on most new contracts/renewals you'll start to see the business stakeholder roles coming in.

Hence business_stakeholder role is the key role that needs to be given to user's who wants to approve a request.
