Update error in updating platform notification preferences

Users are receiving the following error while they are trying to update their platform notification preferences.

I need help to figure out a permanant solution as it's a platform issue affecting many users.

Resolution

  • To fix the issue, create a New write acl on sys_user table on Notification field for snc_internal role.
  • Once the ACL is created, toggling user preference should not cause any error message.

ask them to clear instance cache using cache.do and then logout and login

if that doesn't help then raise a case with ServiceNow
