Has anyone proven out this concept that was introduced in Calgary? I tried updating some out of box module records by only changing the active flag, which the wiki claims is automatically update_exempt, and I'm still seeing the updated/updated by fields changing, and version records being created. This would seem to indicate to me that when we upgrade the instance, the items would show up as skips. Is there any special trick to this?

Hi Chris,
If you personalize the columns within sys_update_xml to include "replace on upgrade" you can see which records will in fact be skipped and/or updated during the next upgrade.
Please bear in mind that there are a few known Problems within Calgary and earlier versions of Dublin where some tables incorrectly mark erroneous updates such as switching the record to active/inactive as valid records to be update exempt, so depending on your version and what you are updating you may be encountering this issue.
If you feel you are receiving an incorrect experience, please submit an Incident to SN Support via Hi, and we will be happy to investigate the issue with you further.
Cheers,
