Update Set Warning in DEV – Global Customizations / Upgrade Plan (even though I am in Global scope)

Hi Team,

I am working in the DEV instance under the Global application scope, but while working with an Update Set, I am seeing the following warning:

 

 
*** WARNING: STRY000555 - Change Management - Part 1 has 1 update(s) from another scope ***
*** Error will occur when moving to next instance. Please remove from this update set ***
 
 

Application shown: Global Customizations - Upgrade Plan

However, I am currently working in the Global scope, so I am not sure why ServiceNow is identifying this as a different scope update.

Could someone please help clarify:

  • Why does this warning appear even when I am in Global scope?

Ahoy @Kishore47,

 

you can have a parent update set with child sets from non-global scope:

Go to the impacted update set and check the tab to see if there are any records associated from another scope
