Hi,
I am moving my update sets using update source functionality from dev to test.
I am having a parent update set with 3 child update sets , if I complete parent, the 3 child's were also got completed. In my test, when I click on retrieved completed update sets on update source I got parent along with 3 childs.
When I commit parent, all 3 child were also committed.
Next, as I got new requirement, I created child4 on same parent but by mistakenly I have completed child4 to complete without completing parent. I have completed parent after completing child3.
Whats the issue is , when I was click on retrieved completed update sets on update source I am getting below error.
Kindly suggest me how to resolve it or next action steps.
1 update sets were not retrieved because their batch base is not complete
But I see batch base as my parent name, where I open it, its showing as complete.

Hi Renu,
Try deleting the update sets from the Retrieved Update Set table.
Remark: Delete the update set from the Retrieved Update Set table and NOT from the Local Update Set table.
After you delete the update set records from the Retrieved Update set table then try to pull the update sets again using Update Source.
Please mark my answer as correct if this solves your issues!
If it helped you in any way then please mark helpful!
Thanks and regards,
Kartik

For some reason the commit button wasn't showing up on my batch after I had dealt with the last preview error but deleting all Retrieved Update Sets associated to the Batch and running the preview again as suggested here did the trick.
Thanks a lot

Hi Renu,
It's not recommended to tag update sets to same batch file once you moved to complete state , I suggest you create new batch file in Dev and tag new update set to new batch file then retrieve in other instance. Mark my answer as correct if that helps.
