I have a variable set called Requested For with a default value of javascript: gs.getUserID();
When the Catalog item page loads, it defaults the "Requested for" to the current user, which is what I want. However, when the catalog item is submitted, the Requested For is blank. This is only happening in our London instance. It works fine in Jakarta.

Please check Variable set name and variable inside variable set name both should be different.

Not sure what you mean here. What did you change?

Resolved our issue now. The customer had a modified cat_item widget which wasn't updated when upgrading to London (because it was modified) - reverting to the OOTB version proves this.

I have not gotten a correct answer. The form loads and defaults the requested for to the current user. But when it submits, the requested for is not saved.

Apparently, if you have a variable within the variable set that has the same name as the internal name of the variable set, the value will not be saved in the RITM
