variables revert in tasks

Hi All,

i created a catalogue item with variables. Nothing fancy.

It has few client scripts and ui policies. It also has a workflow supporting it.

The issue is that the variables can be modified in the RITM but when i modify them in the catalogue task variables are set back to previous value as soon as i save.

I tried without any luck the following:

- re-creating the variables

- re-adding variable in workflow

-inactivating client scripts, ui policies and BR

I also found in the log an interesting error which i could not find a way to fix.

"invalid query detected, please check logs for details [Unknown field e7a8db8ddb93f010d605322af4961924 in table sc_item_option]". The sys_id is a specific variable in the catalogue item.

Would you know what is going on or what else i could try?

regards,

Max

Seems like an odd one.

I suspect it has something to do with the back-end names of the variables. Do they match the fields on the sc_task... like short_description or assigned_to?

It is worth a try to change the backend names of your item variables. Just test it on one field and see if it works on it.
