Want to return back to servicenow

Dear Fellow members,

Hope this year finds you in all good health and at the top of your career & success.

I got a break from my career 2 years ago, due to personal reasons & pursuing something else.

I use to be ServiceNow System Administrator & a Change-Manager before & we were working on "New York" release/version of ServiceNow.("Orlando" was just in the offing).

But the "Love" for servicenow did not die-out from my heart. I Love the platform, friends!

I want to return back to servicenow, Now! 🙂

But when i look at the current "Tokyo" release, there are lots of changes, not only to the GUI, but also in terms of "Scripting" too.

I)
. . . for e.g. some of the "Object" properties/functions (in scripting) which were existing in previous releases were not working as expected.
e.g.

  • previous.priority.changes();
  • current.priority();
  • Object.parent / Object.child . . . properties were not working
  • u_sys_user was not found.

Were there any new replacements for these objects/properties etc.?

II)
Also "Inbound Email Action" is not working as expected, though the "Incoming" and "Outgoing" messages were "Enabled" in SYSTEM-PROPERTIES > EMAIL-PROPERTIES and "Inbound Actions" were enabled for all domains by mentioning "*" in the "Trusted Domains" etc.

I stand confused at some things, which were working earlier are not working as expected, now.

Can anybody please help me with specific "Resources" OR "Links" to self-learn servicenow latest releases(Tokyo/Utah), so that I can come upto speed quickly?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Many regards, Paddy

hi Sandeep,

Thank you for your reply, but iam not looking for any "Product documentation" OR any website OR any youtube videos, which everybody knows & can access.
That's why I have mentioned as "Specific Resources" to come upto speed quickly(Like any Specific Blogs/Guides/PPTs/Videos), which can aid in learning quickly & can enable anybody to be able to work quickly on the latest release.
Thank You in advance,
many regards, Paddy
