@AkPatilakshay what @Abhishek Kathe is mentioned is not correct, events from external systems, such as servers, applications, and network devices are managed through Event Management module which is part Servicenow ITOM module. Event Registry is platform feature, you can register events in the event registry and triggers those event from workflow or business rule or scripts, this is commonly used platform feature for triggering email notifications. Hope you do not confuse with Event management and Event registry.
