Hi @anvitha ash ,

Please see this product documentation: Retire a knowledge article

Where it is stated: Only knowledge administrator, knowledge manager, and the latest publisher of the versioned knowledge article (not available for kcs_candidate or kcs_contributor) can retire a knowledge article.

Hi @anvitha ash

A Knowledge Manager or Knowledge Admin can retire an article.
You can refer to the link shared below and also review best practices in the Knowledge Management Process Workshop, where all roles are clearly explained.

Hi @anvitha ash,

The answer to your question is that a knowledge administrator and knowledge manager can retire the published article.

Also note that every article has a valid-to date, after which the article will automatically retire without any permission required from any user or manager.

If you find my answer useful, please mark it as Helpful and Correct ‌‌😊
