Workflow Editor to Flow Designer Transition for Change request

Hello,

Since the Workflow is getting deprecated , we want to switch to Flow Designer. we will need to evaluate those processes, develop the key points contained in each Workflow and transition them to Flow Designer. This Story is specifically for the three Workflows for Change MGMT.

Change Request - Normal
Change Request - Emergency
Change Request - Standard

>>For Change Request - Standard:
I have created custom flow "Change Request Standard" and inactivated the workflow for standard change request using workflow editor.
Additionally, I updated the following system properties:
com.snc.change_management.change_model.hide = false
com.snc.change_management.change_model.type_compatibility = false

As per my organization requirement I have created the custom flow (which creates customer coordination type task, moves to scheduled->Implement->Review and then close. Deactivated the OOB flow "Change - Standard - Implement" as I do not want implementation and testing type tasks to be generated. All functionality is working as expected. However, email notifications are not being triggered, which should normally occur.
Could you please help identify what might be missing or misconfigured?
Thank you in advance!

Did you check or configure the notification based on this condition? Since you are making changes in the flow, it’s not the only place—please also check the out-of-the-box notification once.

You are describing everything around the change process and then the issue is that notifications aren't triggered. There is no information in your question about what was done.

How were the notifications triggered, previously? Just from the record itself? Then you need to check the conditions. Were they coming from the workflow? Then you need to add them to the flow, or create conditions and send them from the record.
Were they event based? Where were the events triggered?

Please mark any helpful or correct solutions as such. That helps others find their solutions.

@snehalkausa

what debugging did you do for email not triggering?

Did you check how those emails were configured to send?

May be you might have to tweak it since you are now moving to flow

Hi @snehalkausa

1.Ensure the notification template record is active.

2.  In Flow Designer, when using "Send Email," ensure the Trigger condition matches the intended change request state.

3.  If the flow fires an event, ensure the Event Name matches exactly.

4. If in notification template Send to Event Creator has been selected for recipient  , and you are testing the cr (Not creating CR), you will not get email

5. Ensure recipient Notification is enabled. check in sys_user profile.
