Abstract:

See how REMA 1000, Norway's largest grocery chain, turned a stagnant ServiceNow implementation into the main platform across the enterprise. With a platform-based and user-centric approach, the team delivered rapid value to the business by combining ServiceNow’s standard applications with intelligent business applications and micro services.

Changing from the traditional waterfall mindset to a lean and agile approach was instrumental to match the rapid pace of development possible on the platform. Increasing ambitions for user experiences, working with UX and Service Designers, and building brick-by-brick allowed REMA 1000 to:

  • Connect ITBM, GRC, and Business Applications to handle all GDPR-related work
  • Manage all franchisees and vendors with a unified approach based on GRC, Vendor Risk Management and Business Applications.
  • Create seamless experiences by combining Customer Service Management and Business Applications.
  • Break down silos internally by delivering value rapidly with a user-centric approach
