Abstract:
Downdetector.com published the following article “Problems at USPS” on May 24, 2018 to the public showing that the entire internal and external United States Postal Service USPS (USPS) network went offline. The Office of Inspector General (OIG) for USPS investigated this issue within the “Availability for Tier 1 Business Critical Services” audit. We used ServiceNow to find the exact Incident, change requests and problem investigation ticket associated to this event. OIG completed the audit investigation and published the findings to the public on September 11, 2018 bringing this business use case full circle.
