Learning ServiceNow with 0 experience

Hi Everyone,

I have absolutely no experience in ServiceNow other than the Welcome to Servicenow microcert. Can anyone give me advice on where to start? I want to get certified in ITSM and then later on HRSD as my main work experience is in HR. Are there any options for free training for either of these? All of the training I see costs $2400.

Also it would be greatly appreciated if someone could break it down step by step, how to accomplish getting certified, or an “entry way” in.

This is my first post! Hope to get some great responses and connect!

Welcome. I would say you came to the right forum. I am very glad that completed the micro cert on "Welcome to ServiceNow". I would say, to start,

1. create your personalized login and get your own developer instance. Since you are looking for a free course to start,

Then start learning these 16 modules.

3. There are a number of free online tutorials and video lessons available for ITSM and HRSD certifications. you can find these tutorials on YouTube, Udemy, and other online learning platforms.

4. As I said, you have already joined ServiceNow Community Forums and this is a place where your real knowledge going to start, you can ask questions and get help from other ServiceNow Professionals. This is a very important step in your learning Path.

5. There are many experts here who create content to stay updated, many free sessions, and Podcasts that you can follow or listen to during free time, which helps you a lot!

6. There is a Now learning portal, where you can get a lot of free courses and on-demand courses. you can enroll in https://learning.servicenow.com/, you can enroll in the courses which are free. Many times, ServiceNow offers a free service now fundamental courses, watch this space from ServiceNow and you will get the courses.

9. In case, anyone is interested in sharing their Golden ticket, you can get free access to on-demand courses you can learn the courses and then take the exam. only exam will be charged and courses is free ( Not sure if anyone can give this ticket to you, if so, you are lucky)

Glad it helped you. All the very best! Of course, for the golden ticket, post in the forum asking for the golden ticket, if any one who still has it can share it with you.

For HRSD, i would recommend connecting or check in the HRSD community --> https://www.servicenow.com/community/hrsd/ct-p/human-resources-service-delivery

Pl post a new one asking for a Golden ticket if anyone wants to share!

For practice, I am developing scope application. I followed all the steps, but when I get to create a table from scratch screen, I do not get "Continue" option. I am using Google Chrome on Mac. Is this a browser issue? Thanks

I would recommend you to start with the Nealerning path: https://nowlearning.servicenow.com/lxp/en/pages/journey-overview?id=journey_overview&journey_id=55f7... as this will give you the basic understanding / basic foundation of ServiceNow. Later when you have obtained some experience, you can move forward with the https://nowlearning.servicenow.com/lxp/en/pages/now-learning-get-certified?id=amap_detail&summary_id... and https://nowlearning.servicenow.com/lxp/en/pages/now-learning-get-certified?id=amap_detail&summary_id...

And no, there is no, there is no obtain for free training / certification unless you work with a ServiceNow certified partner.

From there, you can strenthen and build up to the Certified System Administrator (CSA) exam, which is the usual first step before ITSM or HRSD certs.
