List of Jakarta changes and features?

At Knowledge17 there were a lot of times I heard the phrase "This is new in Jakarta." Is there somewhere all of these new features are listed in one place?

Hi Jennifer,

That would depend on the tier your company is considered by ServiceNow: ServiceNow KB: ServiceNow Release Cycle (KB0547244)

General availability is not immediate. But this is can be good as Patch 0 release can be quite bleeding edge... And that can be gory!

The best practice is to wait at least until Patch 2 is available, to be on the safe side against painful issues.

=>"Changes in Workflow — Jakarta Release" - this is a new feature added in workflow in Jakarta releases.

Changes in Workflow :- Workflow Welcome Page

1. To open the Workflow Editor, navigate to Workflow > Workflow Editor

2. The editor opens with the Welcome page, which displays a list of active, published workflows.

3. From this tab, you can open existing workflows, create new workflows, and open help resources related to workflow.

1. List Display Buttons :

• Published - click to view the list of published workflows

• Check Out - click to view list of workflows checked out to current user

• Help - click to view links helps to help resources for workflow

2. New Workflow : Click to create a new Workflow.

3. Palette Tabs : Workflow/Core/Packs/Custom/Data

Removed in Workflow — in Jakarta release :

• RSS feed and embedded video on Welcome page

                  The workflow Welcome page does not include an RSS feed or embedded video.

• SOAP and REST Message activities deprecated:

                  SOAP and REST activities are deprecated.

                  They are still available on instances upgraded from a previous release but are not available for new instances
