Report and performance analytics training on KN15, right choice?

I have made a booking for report and performance analytics training, I have worked a lot with "standard" reports scheduled and on dashboards. I'm interested to learn more of Custom reports and the possibility to change the X and Y -ax. (group reports with more than one choice)? is this the training choice for me or not?

I have been admin for 8-10 month now.

You have chosen wisely. I just reviewed the content for this class and the first few parts of the class cover the standard reporting available and then the rest of the class covers performance analytics to report on trends over time. It is the most popular class at K15 and I think you will learn what you are looking to learn.

If you have a specific question or requirement that you are trying to meet for reporting then try posting to this subspace on the community. The community is one of the best ways to get some help and to search for actual use cases from other customers.

Hi Veronica!   Let me describe the course a little better so that you can decide if it is right for you.

This course has two main areas of focus:

1. Day 1 covers ServiceNow Operational Reporting where we detail Filtering, Sort Orders, Dot-walking, Multi-Level filters, using Database Views, and creating Report sources.   We also review Chart customizations like the Chart title, alignment, and color and adding titles to the X and/or Y axis.  
2. Day 2 covers ServiceNow Performance Analytics (both Complimentary and Premium) where we detail how to use the Performance Analytics Scorecards and Dashboards to visualize Incident trends and drill into the underlying data.   You will also learn how to create new Breakdowns, Indicators, Widgets, and Dashboards.   Each student will finish by building a custom Staffing Dashboard in their own ServiceNow Lab instance.

Hi Veronica.

Custom charts will not be part of the training but there will be a lab session later on in the week. Why not you ask? Because we're designing the Reporting & Performance Analytics training with the future in mind. And the future of custom charts is that we believe you should not have to use it because we will offer much better alternatives. Fuji already has quite a number of improvements for reporting, and together with Performance Analytics will cover just about all use cases there are for the existence of the custom charts functionality. And for Geneva, there will be even more significant improvements for both reporting and Performance Analytics.

I can't make the decision for you, but if you feel somewhat unfamiliar with the new reporting changes introduced in Fuji or the availability and functionalities of Performance Analytics, this is an excellent opportunity to get up to speed and pick the brain of the experts walking around.
