Hello,
How can I add a field for Assignment Group to the knowledge creation form (as seen in the second screenshot in this article: https://blog.crossfuze.com/servicenow/how-to-create-effective-servicenow-knowledge-base-articles.) I don't see this field as an OOTB option in the form designer.
We currently have the field for Subject Matter Expert on our knowledge form, but our authors/technicians would rather see Assignment Group to indicate the responsible party, rather than a single individual (seems to make sense due to the possibility of an individual changing departments, leaving, retiring, etc. etc.).
Thanks!

@Tasha3 OOTB there is not any assignment group field on knowledge form, but you can create your own field based on your requirement.

there is no OOB field for Assignment Group in knowledge, if you need you need to create one. there is OOB ownership group field please check if you can use this. you can find more in below docs.
Please mark my answer correct and helpful if this works for you.

Another way to approach this is to have Ownership Groups enabled. Once they are enabled and added to the template forms, you may take an assignment group and add the type Knowledge to them. The Assignment group then also becomes an Ownership Group. Then a report can be customized to see their respective ownership/assignment group for knowledge articles.

Thanks, this is probably along the lines we should explore. I have brought up Ownership Groups to my teams before, but they didn't want to take full ownership of knowledge at that time - they'd prefer our knowledge managers continue to be the approvers for everything (we are a small group - just two of us who work with incident teams). Maybe more work to be done there... but in the meantime, I would like to at least have a way of notifying the Assignment Group that an article needs updating rather than the current manual process where I am hunting people down to do this. I'll bring this option up with the team and see if we can enable Ownership Groups without actually changing ownership, but just to get the Assignment Group on there if that's possible.
