Can you disable article templates for specific KB's only?

Hi all

We have a number of Knowledge Bases and a number of templates which are shared across all the Knowledge Bases. Is there a way to limit/change which templates are viewed/accessed in particular ones?

For example, the IT Knowledge Base doesn't need to see the HR article templates and vice versa.

Oh, this use case is possible, but you need to take an additional step.

1. Add one of the template to the knowledge base

2. Inactivate the template in the related list with a list edit of the attribute "active"

3. Now you should only see the Standard template.

Hi Sebastian,

I did this, but when I went back to the templates, the attribute was changed to "false" for all KB's, not just the one I set it at. I also found when I added one template to the KB, it added all active=true templates.

Hi Keszia,

Sorry about that. I didn't realize that before. I was always using a template, that wasn't used in any other knowledge base. You are right, the active flag is for an attribute on the template and not on the connection between template and KB. So you will deactivate it for all KBs.

In this case you may have to discuss to create a "dummy" template, that you only use for this case to link it, that not all templates can be selected.

I have the same issue too. I even specifically added all the templates to the KBs that don't need them, and deleted it from this table kb_template_m2m_knowledge_base but still the templates are showing up for all the KBs.
