How to Relate a Dashboard within a Knowledge Article?

There are several knowledge articles that are linked within Dashboards (and of course, nobody tells the Knowledge Manager they've done this) and I am updating KBs to new templates that I have built. In this process, once the new KB has been built with the new template, the old KB is retired. Once the old KB is retired, of course that link within the Dashboards (if the article has been added to one) is broken. As the Knowledge Manager, I am trying to figure out a way for me to look at a KB and see if it is linked within a Dashboard, so I can reach out to the Dashboard Owner and let them know the new permalink for the new KB. Is there a way that if a Knowledge Article is linked within a Dashboard, for it to show up within the Knowledge Article, for example maybe under the "Related Links" or something? Or some other way for me to easily be able to find out?

Ok, so I found "Configure related lists on Knowledge form, only my permissions do not allow me access to see the list, does anyone know if there is anything in that list that has to do with the dashboards that the article may be linked within? Added attachment image.

IMHO this is a pretty approach but maybe not the right one. If somebody uses links to a KB, this person needs to subscribe to the knowledge base and the related articles. This way the person using the the link to the knowledge is automatically informed if something changes. And IMHO it is his accountability to keep his dashboards and reports up to date with the latest information. I do not se the accountability here within the role of the knowledge base admin.

That was a great answer, and I can agree to some of it. 😁

I am in a unique situation though also. Let's all be real also, anything related to a knowledge article is KM's issue. From the information within it, to how a person interprets the information, to websites who have linked to your kb without even letting you know, to dashboards who's links to kbs that stopped working. 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️😊

I'm just trying to figure out a way I can block off the issue before it becomes one. Continual Improvement 👍🏻

When I retire a knowledge article I am prompted to suggest a replacement - this feature came in Washington I think?  Anyway, it redirects people to the replacement one which would solve the user experience issue if not the issue of people putting knowledge links in a dashboard (why??) and not telling you, which seems like a recipe for disaster to me.
