How to update author for multiple knowledge articles ? Author field appears to have restriction to modify so unable to update all.

Hi,

I am trying to update the author for 83 knowledge articles as the current owner is moving to another project. "Update All" does not work as this field has restrictions and cannot be updated from list view.

I know this is over a year old but I had a very similar problem and I was able to use the 'Update All' feature by elevating my role to activate 'security_admin' and then enabling the 'Admin overrides' checkbox for the write ACL called 'kb_knowledge'.

Is there a way to mass-update Authors for 90+ articles? I do not have a List view as an option. If yes, can anyone kindly share the steps?

Find an admin to enable the update all and your list view. Only other way is to use a script to do it and if you don't even have a listview, I don't think you can script the author change.
