Is it possible to group by Parent.Number and sort?

Basically as seen here whenever I change the sort option the Parent ID Number does not change.

Is it actually possible to get the system to sort via the RITM number or not?

I tried this at my end.

1. Parent sort work without group by.

2. If you do group by and sort it will not work.
