Is it possible to turn of auto-subscribing to articles (by default) you author?

We are following the KCS framework for knowledge management. We want to use knowledge article subscriptions but our knowledge authors don't want to be auto-subscribed to articles that they author or update.
Thanks,
Adam

Hi, did you ever figure this out? We'd like to do the same. @amarks

Hi,
I would check out the ServiceNow Documentation: Set Knowledge Notification Preferences.

Yeah, I looked through all the documentation and looked through all the settings I can find. I've found a way to disable the subscribe button when viewing an article, but not to globally disable the autosubscription for editors and authors.

Adam,
Not sure if I'm too late but ran across this issue this morning. I found that there is a business rule that handles this auto-subscribe. It is called Auto subscribe author, reviser & kb owner. I just unchecked Active and it no longer auto-subscribes. I tested updating an existing article, creating a new one and manually subscribing to an existing article from our knowledge portal. All works as expected now. Hope this helps.
