When an agent is using the Related Search Results for incidents and opens a knowledge article that has a link to another knowledge article can the link be opened in the same box so users can attach the linked article?
What I have seen is that regardless of how you set the link it opens on a new window.

There is an 'attach to incident' button for me but if you follow a link in the article it will not open in the same window so access to that button is lost.

Leri, can you tell me more about the issue you are describing. Is this expected behavior from ServiceNow? I'm tracking down the cause for this issue as I'm new to ServiceNow. It would be surprising that the application can't handle displaying the contents of a link. Presently, we are resorting to finding every link that isn't tagged with a "target='_blank'", but it seems reasonable that this should be addressed (unless this is a local environmental issue).

I can't say for 100% this will resolve your issue, but you may want to try iFrames. Articles can be opened within an article, no more opening articles to a "new window". The iFrame allows the article to open within the same article, in it's own little "frame" but I am not sure if it will allow you to "attach" it through the iFrame, but it is something to try.
