Platform Academy replacing Knowledge aAcademy?

Just checking if i am doing the right thing.

I used to dial in to a Knowledge Management Academy each month that talked through new features within the Knowledge module of ServiceNow.

As a knowledge admin I found these sessions fantastic to understand what is possible with knowledge and share best practice while giving suggestions for improvements.

I believed these sessions were being replaced by the Platform Academy which was a shame but sort of made sense to me as with AI and machine learning I think in future modules may merge together so there could be some overlap.

I've dialled into my first Platform Academy today and while the presenter is great, what is being discussed seems more aimed at an overall admin of service now who may design and maintain a whole portal.

It looks like future sessions may be on different topics but I can't see anywhere that says what will be presented when. I only want to dial in to sessions that focus on the creation and monitoring of knowledge or in the feedback process of knowledge.

Is there any way to find out what is going to be discussed before the call so I only dial in to appropriate sessions or is there a different academy that better supports with Knowledge.

Thanks

Hi @John_Wilkes

no, the Platform Academy is not replacing the Knowledge Management Academy. There is a dedicated forum Knowledge Management here in the community with a sub-channel for coming sessions and on page Knowledge Management Academy: Past and Future Sessions you will find a session archive in case you have missed something.

And maybe you also want to take a look on my page Platform: Knowledge Management || Knowledge & Troubleshooting Resources

Hi Maik,

Unfortunately the Knowledge Management Academy webinar sessions have been cancelled and are being integrated with the Platform Academy, as per an email sent by ServiceNow on the 18th of June.

Hello @John_Wilkes.,
You're on the right track. The Platform Academy covers broad topics, but Knowledge Management Academy still exists with focused monthly sessions on KM roles, workflows, feedback, and reporting. Check ServiceNow’s KM Academy page for upcoming topics and recordings. For Platform Academy, session details aren’t always listed in advance—reach out to liveonservicenow@servicenow.com to request topic previews or KM-focused sessions.

Best Regards,
Clark Dahl

Hi Clark,

As mentioned above, ServiceNow have cancelled all future Knowledge Management Academy sessions and have advised that it has been integrated with the Platform Academy sessions. The below message was sent on June 18th to anybody that was registered for the sessions.

The Knowledge Management Academy webinar has been cancelled.

The host has sent you a message:

We’re excited to share that the Knowledge Management Academy content is being integrated into the broader and more comprehensive Platform Academy! This new structure is designed to offer you a more unified and enhanced learning experience. As part of this transition, the Knowledge Management Academy series has been cancelled to streamline and improve how you engage with learning content. To make things easy, you’ll be automatically registered for the new Platform Academy sessions. Keep an eye out for Zoom confirmations for sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays—please accept these invites and add them to your calendar. We also recommend deleting any existing Knowledge Management Academy invites to avoid confusion and ensure you’re aligned with the new schedule. Thank you for being part of our Platform community. We look forward to continuing the learning journey with you in the new Platform Academy!

Regards,

Eoghan
