The Knowledge Management Academy series will cover getting started, processes, roles, current features, what's new, and how to use platform capabilities such as analytics from a Knowledge Management lens. We'll also cover live Q&A during the session and post both the Q&A and recording of the session for those who cannot attend live.

As part of our effort to streamline and enhance your learning experience, we’re excited to share that this academy is now being folded into the broader Platform Academy.  Click here to register.  You only need to register once for each academy to receive invites to all of the sessions.

 

Current Participants:  To make this transition smooth, we are re-enrolling all current participants into the new Platform Academy series.  You may see a new calendar invitation titled ‘Platform Academy’—please make sure to accept it.  We also recommend deleting your existing Knowledge Management academy invite and using the Platform Academy email you’ll receive and adding it to your calendar.

In this session, we invite a special guest from ServiceNow's AI Experience Knowledge Management team to discuss our internal (Now On Now) story in support.  She covers topics ranging from roll-out, team make-up, governance, and health of a knowledge base and process with live Q/A.  We also review Duplicate Identification which came available with the May 1st Now Assist release.

Academy Live: Knowledge Management: Yokohama Update

In this session, we covered the newly released features of Knowledge Management with the Yokohama family and store releases.  We outline enhancements to Knowledge Generation with Now Assist for Non-English languages, accessibility improvements and other exciting updates.

Academy Live: Knowledge Management: Ready for AI

In this session, we covered how AI is incorporated in to different aspects of Knowledge Management through NowAssist.  We reviewed all the areas NowAssist is incorporated, including AI Search, and discussed how articles impact NowAssist Genius Results.  We also covered concepts that should be considered when designing your knowledge strategy and articles.

Academy Live: AI Search and Knowledge Management

Formally Titled: Now Assist in AI Search Xanadu enhancements and guidance, and posted in Now Intelligence Product Hub.

In this session, we collaborated, and cross-posted, with subject matter experts from ServiceNow's Platform Intelligence group to talk through the functionality of AI Search and capabilities available to Knowledge Managers.  We covered updates to the earlier KMUG session on recommendations for developing articles for AI Search as well.

In this session, we covered the newly released features of Knowledge Management with the Xanadu family and store releases.  We outline enhancements to Knowledge Generation with Now Assist, updates to the HTML article editor and updates for the Knowledge dashboards and the portal.

In this session, we covered the current features of Now Assist in Knowledge Management, which was released on May 9th, 2024. There's a quick overview of what the product can do currently, guidance on governance and implementation, as well as a live demo of configuring knowledge generation and drafting an article from an incident.

I have registered for the Knowledge Management academy events, but I haven't received an email confirmation. Also what date is it as it says June 4th and June 11th when you click this link: https://www.servicenow.com/community/knowledge-management-events/knowledge-management-academy-june-4...

 

I have now received a confirmation, but the timings don't work for me in the UK so I watch the video recordings instead.

I've registered and received a link, but it never seems to work. Every month, I just sit on a screen that says "Waiting for host to start the webinar." Am I doing the time conversion wrong? I'm in MST, which I thought meant that the meeting runs 10-11am, is that not correct?

Hi where do I find the most recent sessions. the only ones I seem to be able to find are from 2023? 

My understanding is the sessions are recorded then released in the following days but where are these stored? Thanks in advance.

Hey all! 

 

I am have my knowledge management team take two courses 

Knowledge Management (KM) Fundamentals (Beginning - 6 hours - on demand)

Knowledge Management (KM) Implementation (Advance - 5 hours - on demand)

 

but I cannot find these for xanadu the links I submitted for my leadership teams approvals were for tokoyo. Is there one for Xanadu? I am really hoping so I am a team of three so on demand is all I could get approved for.

Yes, they are posted here.  Per @Aerin's post above, I'll go back and put dates on each one of the previously recorded above.  I'm working on getting the Q&A's posted from the previous ones as well, we recovered many of them on the 4/8 presentation live.  The 4/8 Academy should be posted by middle of next week.  Sorry for the delay, but I appreciate the participation!

I'm not familiar with Zoom in it's latest iterations, but is there a reason that frequently for the Academies, I'm left sitting at a window that says "Waiting for host to the start the webinar"? Is there a step I'm supposed to do to get in? This happens more often than not and I miss the whole thing. I think some of the sessions were cancelled. It has not been good on administrative as far as scheduling, sessions....etc. after they changed the host.

Hey all, I see these comments about the cancelled Academy.  I apologize, I was told a cancellation went out and an ask to resubscribe happened for the new notices?  There was no session today, due to Knowledge 25 just occurring last week.  I had mentioned this at the end of the last session as well, that June would be the next Academy, due to the timing of the Knowledge Event where we unveiling some new items on the KM roadmap.  Internally we are also trying to move to an easier calendar and subscription model for these academies, as well as posting the forward schedule here too.  I am sorry for the confusion and will speak to this on the next Academy directly.  Thanks for your continued interest and participation!  We really value your questions, feedback and insights on how to improve the academies.  @Aerin @Erum @cpy138

@Nicole McCleaf , thanks so much for your interest and question!  Tomorrow was a bit of a last minute change, that I'm excited about.  We are lucky to have a guest presenter from Now on Now to discuss many topics around the experience of implementing Knowledge Management, lessons learned, governance and health and maintenance.  I will also cover some updates from our release in May and upcoming changes to our Academy structure!  These Academy changes should help with some of the recent challenges with our existing invite, provide a better calendar of upcoming topics and a expose a broader range of adjacent topics.  I hope you can make it and come prepared with questions!  However, remember, they are always recorded and we try to post them within 7 business days of the event!  Thanks again Nicole!
