"Checkout" button for articles has disappeared for the author of articles even though she has knowledge role.

Author of article is no longer able to check out her own articles. The checkout button has disappeared for all her articles. How do I get it back?

Her roles have not changed. She still has knowledge role 

There have been no changes to ACL or UI actions.

When I have seen this it was due to someone else having the article checked out.

I am having a problem with the checkout button opens a new draft of the article but it cannot be edited.

- Configure the Revised By Field > Impersonate with the Revised By user and see if you can see the CheckOut button?

Revised by is empty
