"Featured" knowledge articles remain on topic pages even if retired

Leri Andrews

Just a little warning if you've made articles 'featured' on your employee portal.  They remain there even if they are retired (at least if you're knowledge admin they do, I haven't tested for the ordinary user). Something for your contributors to check if they retire anything. Not sure why 'related articles' doesn't do the same but I am glad it doesn't!

Hi Leri,

This is good to know - so that means Admin will need to go in and manually remove it as featured then, correct?

PRB1897473 is permanently fixed in the Zurich release - so until you have that you will!

We had this exact issue in our instances and logged a HI ticket with support. They identified it as a defect, but didn't indicate when (which release) it would be resolved in. They did provide us with an update set that we ran through our instances to resolve the issue.

You can try logging a HI ticket and see if they can provide the same/similar update set for your instance. They referenced PRB1897473 as the "Most probable cause" in our ticket.

Have you been able to run a report to see which Featured Content is retired?  I have not been successful as there is no Featured = True in our conditions.  We are currently running on EC.  Thanks!
