User who is not in "Can read" group for Knowledge base can read articles through direct link

I am a Knowledge manager in a company.
There are multiple Knowledge bases in ServiceNow of the company.
A group is set as "Can read" for one knowledge base(KB-1). In the top page on Knowledge bases, KB-1 is not visible to a user who is not a member of the group. However, if the user access to an article of KB-1 through its direct link, it's visible.
Is this a normal occurrence with ServiceNow?

I have found that if the article is in a knowledge base where someone can contribute - they will be able to see articles that do not have them on the can read via the direct link.
