How do you all cope with this problem? We do not have HRSD, so this solution will not help.
Person (let's call him Joe) works in Germany and is able to see relevant knowledge articles, because we have user criteria (can read = all Germany employees)
Jo's Manager (let's call her Kate) works in the UK, but needs to be able to see some of the content Joe can see, eg HR content on how to manage an employee in the UK, but Kate can't see it because of the user criteria
Any help / suggestions?

Hi @Tilly Penn, As the user crietria manages who can read or contribute, you need to deal with the same. You will have option to add user / group / role as well to the user criteria. You can try adding Kate to the same user criteria.

If it's just a one off issue then you could manually add the user to the Can Read criteria, but I'd imagine it is more widespread. You would probably have to look at using some sort of criteria based off of the users role to maintain the Can read groups. So something like if the users title is Manager they are added to the can read groups, or create a role and assign it to all managers so they can view the content in different regions as needed.
