Allow user filtering articles on Contextual Search

Hi all,

 

I have a requirement to allow users to filter the Contextual Search results on an incident form. I see that there is something called Filter Conditions that apply static filters on Contextual Search, but what we need is rather something like the standard funnel filter that allows users to filter on whatever they want for the kb_knowledge table.

Is this at all possible or do I have to work with static filters?

We have not been able to create a set of filters that Incident workers can adjust in Contextual Search.  We have asked SN for years for this flexibility and have been told it's not possible to do OOB.  We have seen that Service Operations Workspace is the place they are investing enhancements into and not the "classic" incident form with the Contextual Search.

Thanks Michael, I will see if we can be content with Filter Conditions or if we can create a custom solution (I somewhat doubt it).

Thank you for sharing @kim-lindgren .  I have subsribed to it for updates.  Hopefully they have some good feedback on this!
