We updated to Vancouver and now when I edit a KB, extra junk html is added into the Source Code.

When I put a hard space (hold shift down and press Enter) extra html is added into the source code. I like to keep the source code clean, because we do manage the html, so we use html and the gui side of SN to create kbs. We use the hard space between each step when writing out steps in articles, and we use a hard space above and below images. So we have tons of junk html with each hard space we use.
I have worked at other companies in Vancouver and never had this issue.
SN says it is an issue with the TinyMCE Library and refused to fix the issue, and pretty much told me it can't be fixed. In my opinion, this is not how a company should support their customers, close their ticket and not resolve the issue.
I have attached an image of the source code and highlighted the junk that was added when I put in the hard spaces.
If anyone has any information or advise, I greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

If it is rendering the text properly when viewed, then it is working properly.

Hi trout1974,

Can this be replicated in other HTML fields in your instance, or on blank/new KB articles?

Is this content being imported from an outside source, or created directly inside SN?

Since it has been a while that trout1974 has been active on this thread I can share my experiences. The code seems to be isolated to the editor hence the junk code "sn_tinymce" and such being added. I have not seen it on regular HTML fields.

As far as the content being imported. For my org. we don't use the upload content feature as it doesn't keep the integrity of the work document or KBAs are created in. SN reorganized the article and does not respect the <ol> and <ul> sometimes. We copy/paste and select "Keep Formatting" on the popup in SN. This has been the work around for 5+ years now. The code is not usually present at that time, the code will appear randomly while using the editor to format the KBAs.

I figured it out, it's only happening when updating an existing kb. It's because the prior knowledge person didn't really know what they were doing and they used to copy and paste from internet and documents and junked up the source code

I am currently having the same issue. Currently working with SN engineering, had a recorded meeting to prove this issue because they were unwilling to consider looking into it unless it could be replicated consistently. Luckily it happened on the call, so I'm currently in limbo.

Can you explain more who you worked with and why they were unwilling to help resolve the issue? The TinyMCE editor is used in multiple knowledge platforms so I would image this problem is happening in other Knowledge Platform too. We skipped Vancouver and are currently on Washington and upgrading to Xanadu in November.

Do you have any updates for the junk code added?
