We're looking for someone to host a show and tell of their Service-Now instance. This is an extremely productive, informal way for admins and users around the country to get ideas or garner feedback and generally collaborate on ideas and best practices!

Think of this like a virtual local user group meeting.

That being said, PM, reply or send me an e-mail (matt dot beran at ammd dot com) if you'd like to participate, contribute or attend. We have no volunteers for presenting yet, so as soon as we have one we'll schedule this!

Hi Matt,

Thanks for doing this. I had quite a few Service-now.com customers approach me at Knowledge09 and express interest in local user group or virtual user group involvement. I will let each of them know what you are doing and point them to this blog posting. Hopefully, it will help you get your virtual user group off the ground.

Thank you for taking the time and initiative to do this. I think there is a large community of Service-now.com customers who are interested in participating, we just need to let them know it exists.

Best regards,

Rhett

I'd like to see some more implementations of the Service Catalog in use, or in development.

Matt - There is already a Virtual User Group with 32 members - check the group list. Are you trying to replace this group with another?

Rhett - There is already a Virtual User Group with 32 members - check the group list. I would think that this should be somehow combined or called something different - the "Show and Tell" user group or something like that.

Yes - they lost their "leadership" and stopped meeting. They used to have a monthly conference call. I think your idea of a webinar "show and tell" is better. I guess I'd just want to make sure that the folks in the original group have an opportunity to be involved. Like I said, either hijack and resurrect that group or create a new group. It makes it easier to schedule meetings and communicate with the group, as well as using the Event Manager to allow people to volunteer to present.

This is a great idea ... would love to present some of our enhancements ... although we'd need to sanitize it of confidential customer info first!
