Create new scope or configure existing mobile agent scope?

I can't figure out the pros and cons of creating a new scope versus just configuring directly within the ITSM Mobile Agent scope.

 

I only need to create a few Launcher and List Screens for incidents and request to specific groups. It feels like a lot to create new scope just for a few UI changes, but I don't want to cause "upgrade pains" by modifying the OOTB scope.

 

If I create a new scope, will I run into cross-scope issues just to show incidents?
If I configure the ITSM Mobile Agent scope, will it be unsafe - not upgrade friendly?

 

Any insight into how you handle these smaller mobile additions would be appreciated.

If you are creating new launcher screens and list screens then you can use existing scope and creation of those records will not affect upgrades.

You get skipped records in upgrade only if you modify an OOB record but not if you create a new record in any scope.

 

In short, New scope not required. Upgrade will not be affected by creating new screen.
