The latest release of UI Builder, Xanadu Store Release 2, introduces several exciting new features designed to enhance the development experience and improve collaboration.
Remember that, as of Washington D.C., UI Builder is now a Store app! This means that we are now releasing three versions of UI Builder with each release: the base version that ships with the new release and then two separate store releases. We refer to these as "Xanadu Store Release 2" or "XSR2" for example.
You must go to the "Application Manager" (all > plugins) to access upgrades for it. If you don't see the correct version available to you, make sure to re-sync to store (even if it shows you synced today).

⭐ Builder Assistant
The Builder Assistant is a new feature that streamlines development by providing real-time feedback. It enables developers to quickly find and resolve common configuration issues flagged during design time. The assistant checks metadata for NDS components missing specific aria labels, visible labels, and alt text, and shows a total count of errors and warnings within the current single page in the top right
⭐ Streamlined Events Creation
Attaching an event handler to an event has traditionally been a complex task, especially for new UI Builder creators. The new streamlined events creation process simplifies this by adding more guidance and context when adding an event handler. This makes it easier for developers to discover and configure event handlers, enhancing the overall user experience and efficiency
⭐ User Presence
Collaboration in UI Builder has been improved with the new user presence feature. This feature addresses the issue of multiple developers working on the same page simultaneously, which can lead to overwriting each other's work. By adding Presence and Record Watching, developers are now notified if someone else has the same page open, enabling better collaboration and reducing the risk of conflicting updates
⭐ UI Generation
The new UI Builder feature allows creators of all skill levels to describe their desired experience using natural language. UI Builder will then generate a starter experience with relevant data and three foundational pages: home, list, and record. Users can further customize this initial setup within UI Builder to suit their specific needs
