Application Menu Module / Logo link cannot directly open Next Experience Dashboard

Hello Community,

 

I am working with the Next Experience UI and dashboards.

I noticed the following behavior:

 

  1. When I configure an Application Menu → Module with link type = URL, I tried using the traditional dashboard link like:$pa_dashboard.do?sysparm_dashboard=<sys_id

    However, clicking this module still opens the classic dashboard page first. Only after clicking the link on that page does it redirect to the new Next Experience dashboard.

     

    1. The same issue happens with the logo link in UI16. Even if I configure the logo to point to the new dashboard, it first opens the old dashboard page, and I still need to click the link on the page to actually view the new Next Experience dashboard.

     

     

    This makes navigation a bit inconvenient.

     

    • Is there any way to make the module (and logo link) open the Next Experience dashboard directly, without the extra click?
    • Or is this the expected behavior in the current release?

Module Link Type : URL (from Arguments:)

 

Arguments : /now/softwareasset/sap-dashboard

Above value is for my instance, replace with your workspace and dashboard name
