html input component for UI Builder

Is there an html input component that I can add to a page in UI Builder?  I see text area and input components, and an html input shows up if it is a field in a form component,  but I don't see a standalone html input component.

Not rly a workaround, OOTB the hr module uses the component for the private Note function.

Sorry, I didn't mean to diss your solution.
I personally consider it a workaround, because it lacks the configurability for the HTML editor.
There alreay is an internal HTML editor component, as other comments here mention. That's the one ServiceNow should make public and which I consider the real thing.
