Does opening a form in workspace consume license.

Requirement: User will create incident from Work Order. The issue is that if somebody works on EAM workspace, they will not have CSM license. So will opening a incident form consume license?

Hi @vidhya_mouli 

The answer is both yes and no. From a workspace (WS) perspective, only users with a valid license can access it. However, if you are making changes or need to update records other than your own, licensing required.

As a rule of thumb, for any licensing-related questions, it’s best to connect with your ServiceNow account representative.

 In Servicenow, if an Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) user needs to create a Customer Service Management (CSM) case, they typically require specialized CSM roles to do so, which usually trigger a requirement for a CSM license.

 

For clarification on any license related question, will suggest you to check with your Servicenow Account representative.
