Another month, another release! On February 22nd we released a set of updates for our suite of Now Assist products. Included in the updates are some highly requested features. This release will be available for those on at least Vancouver Patch 7. To learn more and download the applications, please visit the ServiceNow Store.

 

Now Assist Platform

  • You can now apply criteria to skills to limit the usage of generative AI functionality to only records that adhere to that criterion. Note that this feature is only available for select skills.

  • Now Assist in Virtual Agent
    • You can now enable Now Assist for Virtual Agent in Microsoft Teams and on the ServiceNow mobile apps, allowing for the usage of LLM-powered search and guided catalog ordering from wherever your users work.
    • LLM-powered topics are now available for you to create within the Virtual Agent Designer. These topics allow you to create conversations using natural language without relying on NLU. To build a LLM-powered topic, simply use the generative AI controls from the Virtual Agent Designer.

  • In the Vancouver Patch 7 release, we are supporting conversational catalog ordering for items with checkbox question type and some client scripts and UI policies. You can now view which catalog items are conversational or not, and why, in the new “Catalog Builder” page when reviewing your Now Assist in Virtual Agent setup.

 

Now Assist for Creator

  • Flow Generation
    • You can now have a sample prompt inserted into the text box when generating a new flow. This sample generates a comprehensive example flow and is intended to be used for guidance on how to craft prompts that fulfill your requirements.
      • Note that this feature consumes assists when the sample flow is generated.
    • The LLM used for flow generation has been updated to better parse your intentions and now supports additional actions.

 

Now Assist for ITSM

  • Incident summaries will now be generated with personas considered so that a comment made by an agent, user, or system is represented in the summary.

 

Now Assist for CSM

  • Case summaries will now be generated with personas considered so that a comment made by an agent, user, or system is represented in the summary.
  • You can now apply criteria to skills to limit the usage of generative AI functionality to only records that adhere to that particular criterion. Note that this feature is only available for select skills.
  • Virtual Agent topic creation with LLM support for data collection

Now Assist for FSM

  • Work Order Task summaries will now be generated with personas considered so that a comment made by an agent, user, or system is represented in the summary.
  • You can now enable the ability to invoke the summarization of a work order task at any stage.
  • Work order task summarization is now available in the Now Assist panel for users working on a desktop.
  • You can now apply criteria to skills to limit the usage of generative AI functionality to only records that adhere to that criterion. Note that this feature is only available for select skills.

 

Now Assist for HRSD

  • Agents creating a case from a live chat will now have the short description and description automatically generated using the content of the live chat.
  • You can now apply criteria to skills to limit the usage of generative AI functionality to only records that adhere to that particular criterion. Note that this feature is only available for select skills.
