Now Assist Context Menu Not Showing for Custom Field in HR Case (Close Notes)

Hi everyone,

I’m currently facing an issue with configuring Now Assist for a custom field in an HR Case and would appreciate your guidance.

Context:

  • I have created a custom field “Close Notes” on the HR Case form which is HTML field type.
  • I have config context menu for Resolution note Now Assist Skills to be available for the custom field - Close Notes (similar to how it works for standard fields like Resolution Notes).
  • I also configured the Now Assist Context Menu for this field with what I believe are the correct settings.

Issue:
Despite completing the configuration, the Now Assist context menu is not in the “Close Notes” field on the form.

What I’ve Checked So Far:

  • Field is correctly added to the form
  • Now Assist skills are configured and active
  • Context menu configuration is done for the custom field
  • Permissions/roles seem to be in place

Question:
Am I missing any additional configuration steps required to enable Now Assist for custom fields?
Are there any limitations where Now Assist works only with specific OOTB fields like Resolution Notes?

I am attaching a screenshot of the issue for reference.

Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated.

I have tried same on incident table where I have noticed if there is any ootb now assist context menu on the same table the one which we have created will not be working. If you deactivate the out of the box one the custom one will be working.

I have tried to deactivate the existing OOTB context menu for resolution notes but still its not working.

What i have seen there should be one NACM configuration per one table for Now assist context menu so when I Disabled the out of the box it worked.

1.Initially try to check the custom skill is published.

2.The skill is activated in the now assist admin console.

3.Clear the browser cache.

 

If not Raise a support case with ServiceNow so that we can get more info related to it.
