With Quebec we have launched our new No/Low-Code developer experience called App Engine Studio. While this is a great place to start a new application it falls a bit short showing your existing applications to continue working on it.

There is a simple reason for it as App Engine Studio will only show applications to you which you are responsible for and have access to. In later releases we will extend this to allow you to invite collaborators helping out on developing your app - similar like our delegated development capability within Dev Studio.

But what can you do meanwhile if you want to start leveraging the power of App Engine Studio with the apps you already created in the past?

There is a small workaround which will help you to list the application for a given developer. Follow these steps to make your scoped application visible in AES:

  1. Login as user with admin privileges to your instance
  2. Open table sn_app_eng_studio_project by entering sn_app_eng_studio_project.list in the Navigator 'Filter Navigator' box and press enter.
  3. In the list which has been opened search the record for the user you want the app to be visible. The record will look like this:
find_real_file.pngNote: If you cannot find the record open AES with the target user first or create a new record.
  4.  In that record check the related list 'Applications in Project' and create a new record for your already existing scoped application

That's it, once the target user refreshes his App Engine Studio screen the app will show up.

Using the same mechanism you can also make an app visible to more than one user. But bear in mind that this is currently not fully supported and our data model might change in the coming releases when we add the collaborator functionality.
