Hi,
We are planning to integrate Service-now with Oracle cloud database. Is it possible using Web service? or MID Server? Please let me know what will be the possible and best approach to use for the integration.
I also need to know, can we integrate to Oracle DB (not cloud) to service-now without using MID Server? Just checking if there is there any approach.
Thanks.

Hello Pankaj, Yes, it is possible to integrate a ServiceNow instance with Oracle database. You can use webservices, ServiceNow support both SOAP and REST web services. As far as MID server is concerned, you can use it when you have no direct access to the database server let's say due to firewall/security access.

Hi Pankaj:
Lalit is correct, the integration can be done with webservices. One thing to keep an eye on is the volume of data that you're planning to pass between the two systems, and the number of transactions. In high volume/high transaction environments, web service calls can place considerable load on the application -- to the extent that system performance begins to suffer. We've heard from customers that they had resorted to scheduling batch replication of data in off-peak work hours to avoid impacting their users.
If you're still investigating options, feel free to check out the Perspectium integration solutions. We have helped customers integrate ServiceNow and Oracle, starting small and then growing with whatever their replication needs are, including some who pass millions of records a month through our service. www.perspectium.com for more information.
Regards, Andrew
