Hi @AksiyaM
Here’s a polished version that keeps your personal, encouraging tone:
Being a ServiceNow trainer, I’m happy to share my thoughts here.
Just to add, ServiceNow is getting deeper, wider and bigger, so the starting point for anyone entering the ServiceNow ecosystem is generally the same — CSA.
A few tips from my experience:
-
Focus on learning, not just the certification. If you focus on understanding the concepts properly, the certification will follow naturally.
-
Don’t compare your journey with others. You may see someone completing a course quickly and think you should do the same. Everyone has their own learning journey, so focus on your own progress.
-
Focus on the roots and basics. CSA is important because it opens the ServiceNow platform to you. Don’t rush through the concepts just to finish the course. Take your time to understand each topic properly.
-
Learn each concept from multiple sources. If you are learning something new, read about it or watch videos from at least 3–4 different sources. Different explanations can help you understand the concept much better.
-
If you have doubts, ask. Never hesitate to ask questions. Asking questions is one of the best ways to learn.
-
Labs and hands-on practice are key. Training can give you the theory, but a PDI gives you the opportunity to actually practise and understand how things work on the platform.
-
Spend at least 1–2 hours daily on the ServiceNow Community. Observe the technical questions people are asking and how experienced members respond. You’ll learn a lot just by following these discussions. I would also strongly encourage you to start answering questions yourself — explaining something to others will improve your technical thinking and deepen your own understanding.
-
Explore the free courses on the ServiceNow Developer Site. These courses are practical and focused, and they will help you apply what you learn directly on the platform.
Most importantly, don’t rush the journey. Build a strong foundation first, keep practising, keep asking questions, and keep learning. Once your fundamentals are strong, the next steps in your ServiceNow career will become much easier.

Hello @AksiyaM ,
Below are the key points which you should focused on :
1. ServiceNow Administration (CSA)—Start with the System Administrator learning path and prepare for the CSA certification. Learn users, groups, tables, forms, lists, security, notifications, update sets, and platform fundamentals.
2. Scripting – Spend time learning JavaScript along with ServiceNow scripting concepts like Client Scripts, Business Rules, Script Includes, GlideRecord, GlideAjax, UI Actions, and Flow Designer. Strong scripting skills are expected in most ServiceNow roles.
3. ITSM Fundamentals – Get hands-on with Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, Service Catalog, and Request Management. These are the most commonly used modules in real-world projects.
4. Build on a Personal Developer Instance (PDI) – Create your own applications and implement real-world use cases instead of only following tutorials. Practical experience is what interviewers often look for.
5. Learn Integrations and Automation – Explore REST APIs, Import Sets, Transform Maps, IntegrationHub, and Flow Designer, as these are widely used in projects.
6. Practice Interview Scenarios – Understand common ServiceNow interview questions and be prepared to explain the logic behind your implementations.
Once you're comfortable with the above, you can specialize in modules like HRSD, CSM, GRC, ITOM, or AI-powered capabilities such as Now Assist, depending on your career interests and market demand.
The key is to balance learning with hands-on practice.
If my response helped mark as helpful and accept the solution.
