When we open reports-> view/run and apply filter owned by me or shared with me in data visualization then the error comes:-
access to visualizationfilterparser.getsharedwithme is not allowed
access to visualizationfilterparser.getownedbyme is not allowed.
User has admin as well as viz_admin role already.
Could not find any script include with name Visualizationfilterparser
The version is Australia
Kindly help.
Thanks,
Rahul Gupta

Hi Rahul,
The error points more toward an access restriction on the VisualizationFilterParser functionality than a missing role or Script Include.
Since the user already has admin and viz_admin, check the following:
- Reproduce the issue using the affected user and note whether it occurs only for “Owned by me” / “Shared with me” filters.
- Compare the behavior with an OOTB report/visualization owned by the same user.
- Check System Logs >> All at the time of the error for any ACL/security or cross-scope access message.
- Also verify whether the issue occurs in a sub-production instance on the same Australia patch level. If it started after a recent patch/upgrade, this is worth investigating as a potential platform defect.
- Avoid creating or modifying a custom VisualizationFilterParser Script Include as a workaround. The error is referring to an internal platform API, so customization here could create upgrade issues.
If basic visualizations work but “Owned by me” / “Shared with me” specifically fail, capture the exact instance version/build and patch level and raise a ServiceNow support case with the error, timestamp, visualization/report name, and affected user.
