I would like to report on some data of entitlement as trend for some records which maybe deleted.

Hello All,

First of all, we don't have SAM module enabled in our instance, thus SAM dashboard is not available to us. Neither we are planning to enable at this point.

Now our requirement is, to report on trend data of license entitlement table linked to a software, where the entitlement maybe deleted over the time to maintain rights allocation.

I am aware a report can only be possible, if there is a present data, but in case the data is deleted, how to manage the same.

We are looking for solutions where performance analytics or reporting can be useful.

Regards,

Shariq

Hey @Sharique Azim

You should be able to accomplish this no problem with Performance Analytics. If you setup an indicator that trends a count of entitlements over time and add a breakdown for the software model, then in the PA indicator you would see a trend of entitlements over time with the option to filter by software title. As entitlements are deleted, the count would simply go down, thus getting you the trend it sounds like you are looking for.

Hope this helps!

Hello Nick,
Thanks for your quick response. Could you please guide me to any example guide/blog that i can follow to fulfil this?

Hey @Sharique Azim

Here is an overview video on what indicators are and the types of indicators you can use. For this, you will need an Automated Indicator: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xpwLWlpv6AA

Here is the docs on creating an automated indicator: https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/xanadu-now-intelligence/page/use/performance-analytics/task/t_Cre...

Thanks again Nick, let me try configure once and I can revert back on the same. But your inputs were definitely helpful.
