Hello folks , 

As an admin of the CMDB process, I want to see the CMDB Health Metric scores over a period of time to visualize our performance

Can someone help me creating manual indicator for 

CMDB Overall Score

Need a guidance

Guide to Creating a Manual Indicator for CMDB Overall Score in ServiceNow

If you want to manually track and visualize your CMDB Overall Score over time in ServiceNow, creating a manual indicator with Performance Analytics is a solid approach. Here's how you can do it:

1. Go to Manual Indicators

  • In the left navigation filter, type Manual Indicators and open the module.

  • Click New to create a new indicator.

2. Complete the Indicator Form

  • Name: Use something clear, like CMDB Overall Score.

  • Unit of Measure: Choose Score or Percentage (whichever matches your measurement).

  • Frequency: Pick how often you'll record the score (Weekly, Monthly, etc.).

  • Assign contributors if others will help enter scores (users need the pa_contributor role).

  • (Optional) Assign the indicator to a group for organization.

  • Click Submit.

3. Enter Scores

  • Open your new indicator.

  • Under the Scores related list, click New to add a score.

    • Date: The effective date for the score.

    • Score: Enter your CMDB Overall Score.

  • Repeat for each time period you want to track.

4. Visualize Results

  • Navigate to Performance Analytics > Dashboards.

  • Add a Time Series widget using your manual indicator.

  • This will plot your CMDB Overall Score across your selected time periods.
