I would like to create an indicator based on the incident table, that records and shows how many tickets were in New, In Progress and in On Hold state. The snapshot has to be taken every Thursday at 6AM. Creating the scheduled job is not an issue. However I'm struggling with configuring the history data collection job. How do I configure the history job so past snapshots are created at the above mentioned times? Is it at all possible?
As a matter of fact I'm having a hard time grasping the concepts of relative start, relative end, relative start interval and relative end interval. In the docs it states that they "set the number and the length, respectively, of time periods in the past to begin to collect data from". Could you please explain it in a different so I undestand better? Or maybe point me in the direction of a material that explains it more in depth?
Thank you,
Csaba

Set the frequency of the Historical job to "Weekly" use the values for the 4 parameters as in the Daily job. See if you get what your looking for. Rerunning a historical job will overwrite scores and can cause data loss, but here you are trying to find your desired set of values to use for the 4 parameters.
Use Relative Start to be how far back before daily collection started, Relative Start Interval "Weeks ago", Relative end: as far back as you want, and Relative end interval "Weeks ago".
